Diamond Sponsors
Join UCAC, the construction community, VIPs and our scholarship recipients for an evening of celebration, networking and great food and view at the 2022 Scholarship Awards!
2022 marks an important milestone for UCAC as we branched out across many construction fields to offer scholarships to students of the Connecticut Education and Technical Career System (CTECS). The Board of Directors of The Utility Contractors Association of Connecticut (UCAC) announced a major expansion of their annual Scholarship Program beginning with this spring’s awards. UCAC has been awarding funds to the children of members heading to traditional four-year schools for many years and will continue that commitment to supporting our members while expanding the program to a larger community.
Working closely with CTECS, UCAC opened the scholarship application process to students of thirteen programs of study based at many of the CTECS schools across the state. UCAC offered students in the following programs the ability to apply for funds: Automotive Collision, Repair and Refinishing; Automotive Technology; Carpentry; Diesel and Heavy-Duty Equipment Repair; Electrical; Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning; Masonry; Mechatronics; Mechanical Design and Engineering Technology; Plumbing and Heating; Precision Machine Technology; Sustainable Architecture and Welding and Metal Fabrication. All told, UCAC received over 100 applications for this inaugural year. While the Scholarship Committee reviews all the applicants, their essays and teacher recommendations, we invite you to consider sponsoring or purchasing tickets to attend this celebration on July 21st at the Glastonbury Boathouse. All scholarship recipients of the UCAC Member Scholarships and the new CTECS Student Scholarships are invited to attend the event at no charge with their parents.
